Remember Matthew Mangerson and Michelle Burton? They were the winners of Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s $20,000 military giveaway. While they are currently planning their wedding, we caught up with them to take a look at their beautiful engagement photos by Jadon Good.

“Winning the contest has been amazing,” Matt said. “We are motivated by the knowledge that our “Dream Wedding” is really just throwing a huge party for all the people that care enough about us to put the time and effort into voting every day for three long weeks.”

Lets rewind to the night Matt and Michelle decided to spend the rest of their lives together. Matt took Michelle out to their favorite restaurant, Sanford, while trying to convince her that it was nothing extraordinary. He requested a special table and when the dessert arrived, they played “their song” over the restaurant sound system. That’s when it happened.

“We could both provide all sorts of sweet details and amusing anecdotes about that evening,” Matt said. “But to keep it simple, it was perfect.”

Michelle quickly chimed in that Matt was downplaying what an amazing night it was. After taking a bite of her delicious dessert, their song started playing in the background.

“I think most girls can understand that with the taste of rich chocolate clinging to my lips and the man that I love more than anything on a bended knee before me, it was one of the most magical moments of my life,” Michelle said. “It was ecstasy.”
