Fall style shoot: Inspiration for engagement parties, showers

Fall parties top the list of some of our favorite things to do as the leaves begin to tumble. There’s nothing better than gathering up friends, sipping cider cocktails and crafting a great food menu to go along with the festivities.

With fall on our mind, we designed this editorial shoot to inspire you for your next fall get together. While most autumn events are centered around the typical brown, yellow and red color palette, we chose to go against the grain and used a palette filled with rich jewel tones of purple, royal blue, and moss green along with a dark brown inspired by the woods. Touches of twine and burlap throughout the table and backdrop gave a nod to the traditional rustic fall decor while pinecones and a large branch for the table backdrop brought a little of the outdoors inside.

Handmade projects filled the setup from our custom made backdrop to the hand lettered food labels. Our favorite DIY project were the simple ribbon flags we crafted in our event’s color palette and used to dress up the drinks and treats. The best part about these little accessories is that you can use any color ribbon, so incorporating them at your next fete is a breeze! We’ve crafted them out of pretty pastel colors for a bridal shower and could easily see them as the cutest drink stirrers in your wedding colors. Hop on over to our blog where you can see the complete step by step guide on how to make your own ribbon flags!
