A lovely spring day was the ideal setting for Theresa and Ryan’s elegant April wedding, which took place at two historic Milwaukee venues. Uncommon and not-so-traditional details, such as herb centerpieces and a lavish dessert spread, contributed to a day that made a big impression on the newlyweds and their guests.
During their wedding ceremony, guests literally watched Alice and Jim tie the knot. The two took part in handfasting—an ancient Celtic wedding ritual where a bride’s and groom’s hands are bound—performed by a friend, who also happens to be a Scottish priest. “The ceremony was the perfect way to start our marriage,” says Alice.
