What are you doing this Sunday? I know where I’ll be: at the Pfister for Milwaukee’s Magnificent Bride “Madly in Love” event.

For eight years, renowned Milwaukee wedding professionals David Caruso, Kate Iggens and Debi Zeinert have planned events for brides and grooms who don’t want a cookie-cutter wedding. This year, that will become entirely clear when couples step into the hotel’s seventh-floor ballrooms. Each booth will feature a wedding artisan that’s been hand-picked by the planning committee because he or she is great at making weddings unique.

“Every one is a local, owner-run business, and it is the owner that you will meet at our show,” explains Zeinert, calligrapher at The Blooming Quill in Port Washington. She encourages couples to attend the show together, and hopes that they’ll take time to speak with every vendor. “I love the energy and the happiness that I see in not only the attendees, but in the vendors and everyone working the show,” she adds.

Zeinert is right. The wedding pros are truly looking forward to the event—I asked! “Between the premier wedding vendors, collaborative tables and complimentary mimosas, Milwaukee’s Magnificent Bride wedding show is the place to be!” says Kate Strzok of Broadway Paper in the Third Ward.

Photographer Katy Rowe, co-owner of Artist Group in Grafton, agrees: “We love being a part of the show. It is creative, elegant and full of wonderful treats—a great place to get ideas as well as book your wedding vendors.”

The Mad Men-themed show also has a space where Caruso, who heads up Dynamic Events in Milwaukee, will share insider info at two planning seminars, “2013 Wedding Trends” and “How to Create Your Own Stylish Wedding.”

“If you are planning a wedding and want the most creative and beautiful trends in weddings, there is no one better to give you that advice than David,” says Iggens, owner of Stone Manor Bridal in Cedarburg, who encourages couples to stop in at one or even both of the workshops.

Want to attend? Tickets for Milwaukee’s Magnificent Bride are $25 each through Feb. 28 (buy them here), and $35 at the door. The event lasts from 11 a.m. till 4 p.m., but there are two fantastic reasons to get there early. One: Sweet swag bags. The first 300 brides to register receive one. Two: Brunch at The Rouge!
