My fiance is the first of his friends to get married. So, his friends had no hesitation when they announced, “can’t wait for Vegas!”. After all, it had been decided that no matter who was married first, the boys would celebrate their first bachelor party in sin city. Lucky me, right?

Although I knew (or at least hoped) that their weekend adventure wouldn’t turn into a real life version of The Hangover, I figured why not have some fun with it. So I put together hangover kits for each of the guys attending the bachelor party to surprise them with. Here’s how I did it:

1. Gather all of your materials. Each hangover kit included: travel-size mouthwash, toothpaste, deodorant, Tylenol, Tums, a 5 Hour Energy, V8, Gatorade, water, gum, Beef Jerky and a Kit Kat bar. I also purchased 5 black bags.

2. Create the tags. Use photoshop to play around with The Hangover posters – adding the appropriate names of each guy (assigning each bachelor party attendee to a character from the movie), and the dates of the bachelor party.

3. Assemble & ship. Fill each bag with the goodies and attach a sign to each. Tip: If you’re looking to avoid a hefty shipping charge, make your bags small enough to fit into a USPS priority mail flat rate box. I didn’t and had to ship them all out in my own box – which was both large and expensive! On the contrary, it was a good way to ensure all of the kits would arrive together.

Tip: Send early. Call ahead to the hotel where your guests are staying to double-check the policy for sending a package and to get the correct address. (Note: There was a $15 convenience fee from the Vegas hotel to process my package). And send early! You want to ensure that the package will either be waiting for the guest when they arrive or will be delivered during their stay.

Last but not least – enjoy! Your fiance and his friends will love the surprise; and you’ll get a kick out of just how happy it makes them.

This is awesome. I’m considering getting all my fiance’s groomsmen these beer caddy DIY kits through HatchKits.com — has anyone ordered these before?
