Mike and Amy were friends for four years before they started dating. In fact, Amy told him several times, “When I get married you will by my maid of honor.”
So when the movie Made of Honor came out Amy insisted that the two of them see it.
“It was so uncanny how the emotions of the movie made us both realize something,” Amy said. “There is no way we could let go of each other. From that moment on we were inseparable.”
The couple decided to a wedding based on vintage love letters from Mike’s grandparents.
“Each centerpiece was created by the couple which included vinyl records, sheet music, a single red rose and a wine bottle,” said their florist, Danielle M. Heckenkamp of DMH Custom Floral Designs. “Each wine bottle held the table number and also had a love letter written by the groom’s grandfather to his grandmother.”
